M&M Addict

I have to tell this story b/c it is too funny to keep to myself.

Matt has never eaten M&Ms. Never, ever. Mostly b/c he has a deadly peanut allergy and the m&m packaging says something about being processed in a facility with peanuts. Yes, we have two epi pens in the house.

Well, Matt eats other foods that have that same warning so he decided last week to give m&ms a try. Plain m&ms.

There is now a bag of m&ms - a large bulk item bag of m&ms from Sams club in our pantry. Wonder who purchased that bag. Certainly not the man who teases me for my unrelentless quest for chocolate stashes in the house. Certainly not the man who thinks that we should not allow our children to eat such unhealthy foods...

Hmmmm wonder who I hear munching m&ms right now. So busted!!!

HA! that's funny. Lillian has a peanut allergy too, and it was quite hard to convince her that even though she had PLENTY of M&Ms before we found out, she can't have them anymore. Hopefully she'll indulge herself as an adult too...when she can do her OWN epi pen. (we have FOUR!) :)

That's some good advice... let her indulge when she can do her own epi pen! Matt spent most of his life not knowing the full extent of his allergy so he was deprived of all nuts. We finally took him to an allergist this past summer, found out it was only peanuts and some other seasonal allergies like the rest of us.

I called him out on this purchase last night and his response... "I thought we could make some trail mix and put them in there." Good answer but in the 5+ years we have been married we have NEVER made trail mix. Keep digging that hole Matt! LOL

I'm not digging a hole...yes, I like M&M's...I especially like them with my protein shakes. And, I bought the M&M's for the whole family, as everybody in the family eats them. No biggie, next time I won't buy them...that way I don't take flak on a blog about it! LOL!!
