Steven Curtis Chapman sings this song... Carry You to Jesus
Heavy heart tonight. For no particular reason and for every reason. And as I was searching for music to put on my blog I came across this song.
I am appreciative for all of the friends and family who have carried me on their knees. And I hear the truth in the song... 'if you need to cry go on and I, I will cry along with you. I've given you what I have but still I know the best thing I can do is just pray for you.'
I wonder tonight... do the people who have done this for me know that I am forever grateful. And do the people who are going through great pain and struggles know that as you come to my mind I pray for you. For those who have lost loved ones, dads, moms, children, friends... and for those in my life who are dealing with cancer and age-related struggles. For the moms that have days like mine, and for the moms who have completely different days.
Recently I find myself thinking about how I need to be a better friend to my friends. But I realize that friendship for me might not ever be at the other end of a phone or at play dates. My friendships are nourished.... from my heart to God's...
